Terms & Conditions

This Privacy Policy describes how Herisson Inc. handles personal information when you visit the Herisson website, write to us, or book time with us.

1. What We Collect

What you give us. When you write to us, fill in a form, or schedule a call, we receive whatever you choose to send: your name, work email address and phone number, employer and role, how you found us, and the substance of your inquiry — which may include a description of the exposure you are trying to hedge, its timing, and its approximate size.

What we collect automatically. When you load the Site, we and the vendors that run it may record technical details such as IP address, approximate location derived from it, browser and device type, referring page, the pages you view, and how you move through them. This happens through cookies, pixels, server logs, and similar technologies.

What we do not ask for here. The Site is not an onboarding channel. We do not request government identification numbers, financial account details, or other regulated onboarding information through the Site, and you should not send them to us this way. Where Herisson later collects that kind of information through a separate secure onboarding process, it is handled under the terms of the agreements governing that process and under access controls appropriate to its sensitivity.

2. How We Use It

We use what we collect to answer you and set up calls; to run, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the Site; to keep records of our business development activity; to send you information about Herisson and what we do, including following up on an inquiry you started; and to meet legal, regulatory, and recordkeeping obligations and to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

You can stop marketing email at any time by using the unsubscribe link or writing to us; we will still send operational replies to inquiries you initiate. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

3. Who We Share It With

We share personal information with vendors that operate parts of our business on our behalf — website hosting, scheduling, email delivery, analytics, customer relationship management, and document and storage providers — and only so they can perform those services for us. We also share it with our lawyers, accountants, and other professional advisors; with a counterparty, acquirer, or successor in connection with a financing, merger, reorganization, or sale of assets; and with regulators, courts, or law enforcement where the law requires it or where disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect the rights, safety, or property of Herisson or others.

4. Cookies and Analytics

The Site uses cookies and similar technologies, including third-party analytics, to keep the Site working and to understand how it is used. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies; if you do, parts of the Site may not behave as intended. The Site does not currently respond to “Do Not Track” browser signals, because no common standard for honoring them has settled.

5. How Long We Keep It

We keep personal information for as long as it serves the purposes described above — including maintaining a relationship with you and a record of how it began — and for as long as legal, regulatory, accounting, audit, or recordkeeping obligations require, or a dispute remains open. Registered brokers are subject to recordkeeping rules that set minimum retention periods for certain communications, and we retain records accordingly. After that, we delete it or render it non-identifying.

6. Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, use, and disclosure, and we apply stronger controls to more sensitive categories. No system is perfectly secure and no transmission over the internet is guaranteed private, so we cannot promise absolute security. Please do not send sensitive material to us through unencrypted email.

7. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to receive a copy in a portable form, to limit certain uses, and not to be treated differently for exercising any of these rights. California residents have these rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended. To make a request, or to ask how we handle information, write to us at the address below; we may need to verify who you are before acting, and we will respond within the time applicable law allows. An authorized agent may act for you where the law permits.

8. Age restriction

The Site is built for businesses, institutions, and the professionals who work in them. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we discover that we have, we will delete it.

9. Third-Party Sites and Services

The Site links out to services we do not run — scheduling tools, press coverage, exchange and data sources, and social platforms among them. This policy does not cover them. What you do on those services is governed by their own privacy policies, which you should read before providing information.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may revise this policy. The revised version will be posted here with a new “Last updated” date and takes effect when posted. Continuing to use the Site afterward means you accept the revision, to the extent applicable law permits. Where a change is material and the law requires notice, we will provide it.
